Burger Boy
I guess it was some two years ago while conversing with a friend about the Big Mac Index that made me realize how much I like hamburgers. Call me weird, but I’ve since kept a mental note of favorite burgers in different places in my quest to find the best burger.
In the Philippines, my favorite burger used to be Cajun Burger, located at the Glorietta 4 food court. I say ‘used to be’ because sadly, the place had to close down for reasons unbeknownst to me.
Brother’s Burger then became my new favorite, with Hot Shots coming in second. Brother’s never failed to please me… until yesterday.
Expecting the same delicious, hot off the grill patties that I’ve come to love, I was served something that seemed, umm, microwaved. I didn’t mind it at first until I saw my companions’ burgers with their grill markings on it. Naisahan ata ako. (I think I’ve been had.) I didn’t bother to complain anymore, since at that point, I was merely two bites away from finishing my meal. What was most disappointing was that I’ve been looking forward to having Brother’s burgers for three weeks since initial plans of grabbing a burger just fail to materialize.
Still, I am a forgiving person (haha) and I think Brother’s burger can still redeem itself the next time I come.
i personally prefer bite club over brothers…teka, you live a stone’s throw away from bite club ah…have you tried their burgers? it’s THE BOMB! literally,…that’s what its called. hehe!
Everytime I pass by Bite Club, I’ve always wanted to try it out. But somehow, there hasn’t been any real opportunity to stop and grab one of their burgers. Ma-try nga next time.
