The intricacies of watching Heroes
With one of the most exciting TV seasons coming up, I thought about how I would probably enjoy more if I viewed the shows as they were meant to be viewed, on an actual television set and not the 14 inch screen attached to my laptop.
The first step involved the actual search for the episode. Which leads me to say that downloading Heroes was a real bitch. With so many fake files floating around cyberspace, it was tough to find the legit copy. And with a crappy bandwidth which my ISP claims as broadband, the whole process took me about two days.
Next, I had to convert the avi file into something readable by iTunes. Sucks that the video conversion program I had didn’t have the ability to transform video into something more than 480p quality. Anyway, I had to make do with what I have. I don’t know how long the actual process took, but it involved leaving the computer on overnight.
Finally, after generating the mp4 format I so desired, I copied it into my iPod, plugged it into my the inMotion (thanks dad!) and voila! Heroes on TV. It had that better-than-Metrowalk-DVD quality so that really impressed me.
With How I Met Your Mother, The Office and Prison Break as my must views for this season, it pains me to think about the steps involved in viewing these shows on TV. But then again, I really have no other choice.
last week was D-day (or week) for fall season premiers. i abused azureus.
was it just me or did the office season premier disappoint? i think they should stick to their half hour format.
yeah, the office season premier was too long for its own good. i also didn’t like the way how the writers got rid of karen.
pero ok lang, nandiyan pa din naman si pam beesly
karen’s going to be a reccuring character still, i think. actually natawa ako sa segue nila. but over all, not the most fun episode i’ve seen. i hope they get back on trac.
