I went to the Powerbooks warehouse sale hoping to grab The Beatles: The Biography by Bob Spitz which has been on my wish list for quite some time now. Unfortunately, as with every visit to the warehouse, I didn’t know where or how to look for it.

I did eventually settle on Remembering John Lennon: 25 Years Later by Life. Being a photographic retrospective chronicling John from his childhood days all the way to his untimely death, it seemed like a fairly good buy at 400 pesos.

But my favorite book purchase of the day would have to be First Thousand Words in French Sticker Book by Heather Amery and Stephen Cartwright. I do have listed as a life goal the learning and being semi fluent in a new language and I think I’ve settling in on French. This children’s book should be of great aid to me.

In any case, I do think I have a headstart as I already know of one French phrase. You most probably know it too.
