Jose Gonzalez

I first saw Jose Gonzalez in Conan sometime back, and I first thought ‘Wow, this Latin American folk singer is really something’.

Turns out, he is Swedish of Argentinian descent.

Anyway, lying here in bed with my disshelved thoughts, the music of Jose Gonzalez provides a calming and somewhat aromatic refuge, away from the stresses of surviving. It certainly soothes the inner senses, allowing for a more peaceful rest.

I think I’m going to sleep as soon as this entry is all typed up.

(Zzzzz…)

  2. Let me just say, I love All Songs Considered. It’s one of my favorite podcasts. I get introduced to a lot of new music there.

And for an old guy, Bob Boilen seems pretty cool.

  3. first heard of him from the sony bravia commercial and since then, i’ve been blown away. apparently, he was also in the singapore mosaic music festival. too bad, i wasn’t able to catch him there. i consider him to be a covers master. who would have though that ‘hand on your heart’ deserves such a reprise.

  5. What I like about Jose Gonzalez’ music is that it sort of sounds like Nick Drake (whom I love) but I get it minus that depressing mood I’ve come to associate with Nick Drake. At least, for me.
