Keka
Finally got to see Keka this past week (in Youtube!), and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.
Half-expecting a bold film in the caliber of Gamitan, it was a warm welcome that what I saw was a beautifully executed picture. I was caught surprised with several components in the movie, about how its self-deprecating humor and reckless nonchalance works harmoniously into the whole story telling.
Great movie. I only wish I had seen it on the big screen.
i like the 80’s cinema/Batch ‘81 references. also, i think wendell ramos (is it?) is underrated. haha.
I haven’t seen Batch ‘81 yet though I’ve been meaning to do so. May kopya ka?
Bad trip kasi e, the classic 80s pinoy movies I want to see are next to impossible to find anywhere.
i actually watched this last week (on youtube, too!). just based on quentin tarantino’s love for the film made me jump with the bandwagon.
