Last night, I sold out and finally bought that iPod touch that I’ve been eyeing for the past several months. I still have that perfectly good iPod that I’ve been carrying for the past year and a half, but when push came to shove, gadget lust won over rationale.
That said, I’m selling my old [...]

It was a case of going out in style.
Being on the short stack last night, I thought I caught a lucky break when the turn revealed a full house for me. Sixes on queens. So I tried to play as wisely as I could, check raising and all the babble that comes with trapping an [...]

I seriously, seriously thought that I was one year younger than what I actually am. It wasn’t until I viewed my profile in this social network earlier today that I realized otherwise. And to think I’ve been counting wrong for the past six months.

Thank God for the brave. It it weren’t for them, we probably wouldn’t have this unwarranted ‘day of valor’ holiday right smack in the middle of summer. Ergo, a two day weekend for me (I’ve got work on Saturdays).
So it goes without saying that I’m not really complaining, with this holiday seemingly baseless and all.
It’s [...]

Yesterday was quite a day, if you ask me. Woke up late feeling slightly woozy (that damn mojito’s a traitor!), and after much deliberation with my shobe of where to lunch, descended on nearby Ineng’s.
Ineng’s still is considerably ok, with their trademark 7-inch barbecues. But I don’t know, it just doesn’t bring that [...]

Last night marks the first time in quite a long time that I took a drink for no reason at all. No reunions to go to, no night outs with friends, just me and my Syrah.
I didn’t know what got to me, but there’s this bottle that I opened last December, still about 1/3 full, [...]

I was supposed to go out on this free postcard exhibit thingy at Fully Booked in Boni High last night, but I guess everybody was just swamped with something else. That, or nobody just remembered to do the actual planning of things. Seems everyone’s been hit by a juggernaut of laziness these days.
So, I decided [...]

About two years ago, I wrote a list of 50 items that I want to accomplish in this lifetime. While a few have already been ticked off (experience an F1 race, see a Picasso art piece, [...]

A couple of days ago, I was suddenly hit by a burning wanderlust upon learning that I’ve got close to 12,000 miles expiring soon on my frequent flyer program. I searched the airline website and day-dreamt about the possible destinations that I can go to, eliminating Korea and Japan for their impossibly high living [...]

Over lunch yesterday, I watched this endearing little movie called Juno. It was a fun film, both smart and unpretentious, and manifesting the same characteristics as Little Miss Sunshine that made me love that film so much.
As lunch break was only an hour, I only got to screen the first half of the movie. Eager [...]
